What were you doing before you came to Ingenuity?
I was studying for a BA in English at UCL. Ingenuity is just across the road so I haven’t moved far.
Who would your 3 ideal dinner party guests be and why?
Cleopatra – She must’ve been one ferocious woman. Romans wrote about how intelligent and charismatic she was so I’d be fascinated to meet her.
Jacob Bronowski – he’d know so much about all the things I don’t and wish I did.
Cate Blanchett – She just seems like a great person to hang out with.
What’s your all-time favourite marketing campaign and why?
I really liked the This Girl Can campaign for Sports England credit: FCB Inferno. I thought it was fun and empowering without being patronising.
If you were a specialist in one sector, what would it be and why?
Immune biology because I think being able to understand more about the way our bodies work (and don’t work) would be astounding and scary and useful. But I knocked over too many test tubes at school for it to be a viable career path for me.
Or hula hooping so I could impress my friends…
What’s the next big thing you’re excited for in 2017 in terms of marketing? And why?
I think VR will be an amazing opportunity for story-telling. Marketers can be brilliantly creative so I’m excited to see what they’ll do with this new technology.
